Super boys and coach Kopo SSU

The national under17 squad left the OR Tambo International on Tuesday for the 2015 Under17 FIFA World Cup in Chile, South America.

The boys jetted off this morning after 11am with a strong technical team under the leadership of head coach Molefi Ntseki.  Ntseki is assisted by coaches such as Kwanele Kopo of SuperSport United and the ex-Maritzburg United coach Mandla Ncikazi has also been roped in.

Matsatsantsa have seven players who formed part of the South African contingent.

The squad members are goalkeeper Mondli Mpoto, Athenkosi Dlala, Katlego Mohamme, Khanyisa Mayo, Simon Nqoi, Nelson Maluleke and Riyaaz Ismail who is currently on loan at Hellenic.

The team will begin their South American camp in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,  where they will play a friendly match against Selecao (the Brazilian u17 National Squad) on October 4.

Amajimbos have also lined up international friendly matches between September30 and October 16.

They will entertain the likes of Mexico, England and Australia.

South Africa will be based in Concepcion in Chile and all their group matches will be played there.

Amajimbos are in group E with the likes of Costa Rica, Korea DPR and Russia.

The junior tournament kicks off on October 17 and finishes on November 8.
